Why Cordoba, Spain?

Did you know Cordoba Spain is the city with the most UNESCO world heritage sites of anywhere in the world? Not Paris, not Rome-- it is Cordoba!

Located in the Andalusia region of Spain, this small town is quiet yet bursting with beauty and history at every turn. It's the perfect place to gain inspiration, creative downloads, and unwind. I visited this town years ago and it's always held a special place in my heart. When I found our gorgeous and historical retreat home, I knew I had to share this with you. Plus-- the food is amazing in Spain too!

Our retreat house is not only historic and full of character and beauty, it is also located in the Juderia (the historic city center). This means we are steps away from all the sights and everything you could want to see or do!

Do you offer payment plans?

You can pay in full or do a $1000 deposit followed by a 6 month payment plan (which is done through autopay).

Wow! I've got sticker shock! Why is it so expensive?

I know retreats come with a big price tag that sends people into sticker shock. However, when you look at what is included I think you will see this retreat is extremely high value. You get 3 workshops, 1:1 time with me, most meals are covered, you get to stay in a stunning and historic palace, you get to go on tours to the best sights, see a Flamenco show and have a spa day with a massage. When you consider how much a trip to Europe would cost on it's own, and the cost of 3 in person workshops would be (for reference my last in person workshop sold for $2500 each ticket) you can see that the price is not only fair-- you are getting soooo much value! I also included a payment plan option to make this more manageable with your cash flow

I want to go, but how can I possibly afford it?

I don't know your financial situation. I can only speak for things I have done in the past. When payment plans weren't available for retreats I wanted to attend, I got a credit card with 0% APR for the first 12 months (the card I chose was Chase Ink, there are others though-- definitely do your research and due diligence). Or, when I had the cash flow I also signed up for a card that would give me a lot of points if I made the high sign up bonus. Putting my retreat on the card gave me that bonus and I used the points to pay for my flight. In fact, gaming the credit card points system was how I flew business class to Egypt recently. Chase also has a card with a $1000 cash back bonus if you meet the spend in a few months. Again, these are just some of the strategic ways I have leveraged credit cards to make going on retreat fit into my cash flow. Also, I can say nothing lights a fire under my butt of getting sales then knowing I have a credit card to pay off. Now these are MY strategies. They may not be the best choice for you. Please do what is best for you. I just want you to know that when you want something bad enough, you can often find away to get there.

What if I am not a photographer?

This retreat is evolving and is open to creative entrepreneurs or even women looking to explore what it might look like to run a creative business. The Vision Workshop will bring you clarity on what you want next in life and business. The Plan Workshop will ensure you walk away with a roadmap for how to achieve your vision and build your dream business and life. The Creative Play Workshop is open for photographers to take images under Ashleigh's instruction. If you are not a photographer you can be photographed by Ashleigh in a mini shoot.

What if I am not a six figure business owner?

If you are not yet a 6 figure business owner, you are still more than welcome to attend. It will be helpful to mastermind and connect with the other attendees so that you can see your dream IS possible. And we will create the plan to get you to six figures if that is what you desire.

English is not my first language! Will I still be able to have fun and get the most out of the experience?

I understand how you feel about the concern that you don't speak English as a first language. I can empathize with how much courage it takes to speak a language you don't feel fluent in around others and the fear that others will judge you or not accept you. My retreat is a SAFE space to practice and be vulnerable. I am always in awe of people who are bilingual. What a super power and gift to speak more than one language. And, my retreat coordinators speak Spanish as a first language, English second and some French. They can help you too! If your goal is to improve your English and feel more confident speaking English I cannot think of a better (and gentler) way to do this than at retreat! Remember retreats are all about growth and transformations. So why not show yourself just great you are at communicating, being heard and understood and making friends! Please do not let language be the reason you miss the opportunity. We will take care of you.

I already have a vacation booked! How can I justify more time away from my business AND more money spent on travel?

A retreat is not simply a vacation. While retreats are all about taking time off to unwind and step away from the daily grind of your business, it's also a unique opportunity to have focused and undistracted time to work ON your business. 

Just imagine all the new creative ideas & intuitive hits that come to mind when you start to relax and put yourself in a new environment. Amazing right? Plus we have 3 dedicated workshops plus 1:1 time to work on real business strategy that will help you grow.

Point being, a vacation with your family or friends is not a replacement for going on a business retreat. These are two completely different things! And while you won't be shooting paid clients on retreat, you certainly will be working on your business. In fact you will be doing the most important strategy work which often gets back burnered. So going on retreat is really crucial!

This is the most I've ever invested in myself. I feel guilty to do something like this just for me?

I fully understand this hesitation. Women are especially conditioned to put everyone's needs first and the thought of doing something just for yourself can be guilt inducing. Is it ok? What will people think?!! But it's not about THEM, it's about you. If you've never treated yourself in this way, it's time. It's time but your desires first. It's time to take the space and rest for yourself. It's time to prioritize your dreams and passions. Life is way too short to constantly say "one day". I give you permission to live fully, say yes, and be guilt free. Or as I love to say YOLO (you only live once).

I am afraid to travel internationally by myself!! Help?

I get it! Traveling solo to a new country can be scary. The first time I traveled solo, I went to Italy to help Sue Bryce teach her workshop and I was very nervous. But oh am I so glad I went because it was a trip and experience I will cherish for my whole life. Since that trip in 2018 I have traveled solo internationally MANY times, so I am happy to answer any of your concerns or give you tips! Not only that but the retreat planners I have hired are also travel agents and run a travel company that specializes in helping solo female travelers of color travel the world safely. They are here as a resource to you as well and you can use them to help book flights, trip insurance, trains or anything else you want to book.

What can I expect with the retreat house?

The retreat takes place at a creative's dream venue-- a historic Moorish style palace home built around a courtyard. The home dates back hundreds of years and is truly like experiencing history. There are special artistic details and old world character throughout the home. Think painted wooden ceilings, mosaics and Moroccan tiles, antique furniture, narrow hallways, steep staircases, uneven flooring, slanted ceilings on top floor, textured walls. There are common areas and even a serene outdoor shower to enjoy in your swimsuit. You will be transported to another time & left inspired.

Is this refundable? What if I can no longer attend?

Due to the nature of this in person event, we cannot refund any seats. You should purchase travel insurance to protect your trip which we require you to do.

What am I responsible for booking?

You will need to book your flights to Spain and your transportation to the retreat venue. You will likely need to take the train from Madrid, or another city, into Cordoba. You will also need to book your own travel insurance. I have hired an amazing travel concierge company who can help you book these things if you do not want to handle booking yourself.

What about specific dietary restrictions?

Spain is not known for being great with dietary restrictions as most of the food includes meat, seafood, dairy and gluten. (Many Americans & Canadians find that they tolerate gluten and dairy much better in Europe than at home). While we will do our best to accommodate any life threatening food allergies, it's important to understand we cannot accommodate a vast array of dietary restrictions.
